Mary Kay, thank you for a beautiful contribution! Your pics are beautiful and comments engaging. You make it possible for us to “follow along” your journey, which is awesome. If the SATURDAY REVIEW were still around you would be a worthy successor to Horace Sutton (SUTTON’S PLACES), the long-time travel editor. Great descriptive skill, but also stamina and navigational skill on display. The Barry Bates connection was one of those “coincidences” I never cease to marvel at – six degrees of separation seems to be getting down-sized.
