If the SATURDAY REVIEW were still around you would be a worthy successor to Horace Sutton (SUTTON’S PLACES), the long-time travel editor. Great descriptive skill, but also stamina and navigational skill on display. The Barry Bates connection was one of those “coincidences” I never cease to marvel at – six degrees of separation seems to be getting down-sized.
